Shipping from China to Vietnam

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Vietnam shares a border with China, which opens unique options for speed: we handle your shipment end to end —sea, air or overland transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Vietnam that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Overland option across the border

Sharing a border, some cargo can travel by road or rail from southern China in a few days, on top of sea freight. Speed that doesn't exist to other continents.

We leverage the ASEAN-China FTA

With the Form E certificate of origin, much Chinese cargo enters Vietnam at reduced or zero duty. We make sure your shipment carries it.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping, and in Spanish when you need it. No language barrier with the origin.

Ports and entry points in Vietnam

The best point depends on where your final destination in Vietnam is and how urgent it is. The north is right next to China (even overland); the south concentrates the big sea trade. We pick what connects best.

Cat Lai (Ho Chi Minh)

Vietnam's largest container port, in the south, next to the great Ho Chi Minh industrial zone. The main entry for the south of the country.

Cai Mep

The deep-water port near Ho Chi Minh, able to receive the largest container ships with direct services. Ideal for large volumes.

Haiphong

The great northern port, very close to China, the natural gateway for Hanoi and the industrial north. Excellent for short routes from southern China.

Land crossings (Lao Cai · Huu Nghi · Mong Cai)

The border crossings with China allow shipping by road or rail from provinces like Yunnan or Guangxi, a fast option for northern Vietnam.

We also operate with other Vietnamese points: Ho Chi Minh (airport SGN) · Hanoi (HAN) · Da Nang · Cai Mep

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 2–7 days

The most cost-effective option and very fast thanks to proximity. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Haiphong (north) or Cat Lai/Cai Mep (south).

Overland · 2–5 days

Across the border crossings, road or rail from southern China to northern Vietnam. Nimble and competitive for that area.

Air · 1–3 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Ho Chi Minh (SGN) or Hanoi (HAN). Very fast thanks to proximity.

Customs and taxes when importing into Vietnam

We take care of clearance. Vietnam is part of ASEAN and the FTA with China (ACFTA): with the Form E certificate of origin, much Chinese cargo enters at reduced or zero duty. What is always paid is the import VAT, around 10% (with a temporary cut to 8% in force for many goods), calculated on the customs value plus duty. Clearance is processed with Vietnam Customs electronically. We make sure to leverage the Form E and coordinate clearance at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and prepare the paperwork, including the Form E.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best port or land crossing.
  3. International transport (sea, overland or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Vietnam: duty (reduced with Form E), VAT and formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
