Shipping from China to Africa

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. China is Africa's largest trading partner, and we're at the starting point: we coordinate your import from China to the African continent end to end —sea or air freight, documentation and customs clearance— with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself. A single point of contact from the Chinese factory to whichever African port suits you best.

Why import from China to Africa with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We know the routes to Africa

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out, and the major transhipment hubs (Tanger Med, Durban, Djibouti). We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and African corridor.

A single point of contact

One person answers for the whole journey. We work in writing, in English by default and in Spanish when you need it, so every detail is clear and on record.

Transport modes and transit times China–Africa

Sea · by corridor

The most cost-effective option for large volumes. Times depend heavily on the destination: East and Southern Africa (Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Durban) are reached via the Indian Ocean; the north and part of the west via the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your cargo.

Air · 6–10 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, to the continent's major airports. Fast and tracked in real time.

Transhipment hubs

Many routes pass through major transhipment ports —Tanger Med (Morocco), Durban (South Africa) or Djibouti— that redistribute cargo across the continent. We leverage them when they cut time or freight cost.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including import duties and taxes, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs when importing into Africa

Africa is not a single customs union: although the continent is moving towards a free-trade area (AfCFTA) among its countries, that does not unify the clearance of goods arriving from China. Each country has its own customs, duties and its own VAT, and the differences are large —for example, VAT is around 15% in South Africa, 20% in Morocco, 16% in Kenya or 14% in Egypt—. There are also regional blocs (such as SADC in the south, ECOWAS in the west or the EAC in the east) with their own rules. In every case we handle it: tariff classification and coordination with a customs agent at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port or airport.
  3. International transport to Africa (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in the destination country: duties, taxes and formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, at whatever point in Africa you need.
