Shipping from China to Nigeria

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. Nigeria is West Africa's largest market, with demanding import procedures best prepared well from the start: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Nigeria that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We handle Form M and SONCAP

Nigeria requires opening the Form M and obtaining the PAAR before arrival, and the SONCAP certificate for many products. We factor it in from origin so your goods aren't held.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping, and in Spanish when you need it. No language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Nigeria

The best port depends on where your final destination in Nigeria is and on congestion. We pick the one that connects best to cut inland transport cost and time.

Lekki Deep Sea Port

Nigeria's most modern deep-water port, in the Lagos free zone, built with Chinese involvement and highly automated. It receives the largest ships and relieves the country's port congestion. A very efficient entry from China.

Apapa (Lagos)

The great historic port of Lagos and one of the busiest in the country. A direct connection to Nigeria's largest consumption centre, although it can suffer congestion.

Tin Can Island (Lagos)

The other large container complex in Lagos, complementing Apapa. A good entry for the metropolitan area.

Onne / Port Harcourt

Southeastern ports, in the Niger Delta, strong in industrial, oil and gas cargo. Useful for the east of the country.

We also operate with other Nigerian points: Lagos (airport LOS) · Abuja (ABV) · Lekki Free Zone · Onne

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 30–40 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Lekki or Lagos, often with transhipment at a Mediterranean or West African hub.

Air · 7–11 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Lagos (LOS) or Abuja (ABV). Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including duties, VAT and levies, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Nigeria

We take care of clearance. In Nigeria, customs is the NCS (Nigeria Customs Service) and the process has very strict requirements of its own: before arrival you must open a Form M through your bank and obtain the PAAR (risk assessment report). Many products also need the SONCAP conformity certificate (or NAFDAC registration for food, drugs and cosmetics). On import, duty is settled under the classification along with 7.5% VAT, plus levies such as the CISS (1%) and the ETLS (0.5%). That's why we prepare it carefully from origin. We coordinate everything with a Nigerian broker so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork (Form M, SONCAP).
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Nigeria: PAAR, duty, 7.5% VAT and levies with the NCS.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
