Shipping from China to Colombia

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. We handle your shipment from China to Colombia end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with a close service in Spanish and the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Colombia that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

Mastery of the transpacific route

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and destination port in Colombia.

No language barrier

We work in writing and assist you in Spanish, as well as English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Colombia

The best port depends on where your final destination in Colombia is. The Pacific is the natural entry from Asia; the Caribbean suits the north coast. We pick the one that connects best.

Buenaventura

Colombia's main Pacific port and the great gateway for Asian cargo. It handles much of the country's container traffic, with connections to Cali, Bogotá and the interior. The entry par excellence from China.

Cartagena

The great Caribbean port, modern and efficient, an important regional transhipment hub. A good entry for the north coast and the connection inland via Barranquilla.

Santa Marta

A deep-water Caribbean port, strong in bulk and container. A useful alternative for the north of the country.

Barranquilla

A river-sea port on the Magdalena River, well connected inland. It complements Cartagena and Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast.

We also operate with other Colombian points: Bogotá (airport BOG) · Medellín (MDE) · Cali · Cartagena (CTG)

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 30–42 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Buenaventura (Pacific) or Cartagena (Caribbean), often with transhipment in Panama.

Air · 7–10 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Bogotá (BOG) or Medellín (MDE). Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including import duties and VAT, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Colombia

We take care of clearance. In Colombia, customs is the DIAN: to import, an import declaration is filed and, since 2024, an advance declaration at least 48 hours before the cargo arrives (failing to do so on time incurs penalties). Customs duty is settled under the product's tariff line (usually between 0% and 20%) along with the import VAT, at 19%, calculated on the customs value plus duty. To operate you should be registered in the RUT as an importer and, depending on the operation, work with a customs agency. We help with classification and coordinate clearance at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Colombia: advance declaration, duty, VAT and DIAN formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
