Shipping from China to Ecuador

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Ecuador is living a key moment: its free-trade agreement with China entered into force in 2024 and makes much cargo cheaper. We handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Ecuador that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

We leverage the China-Ecuador FTA

The agreement, in force since 2024, progressively removes the duty on the vast majority of cargo. With the right certificate of origin, we make sure you pay as little as possible.

Deep water at Posorja

The new Posorja deep-water port receives large container ships with direct services. We choose between Guayaquil and Posorja depending on what suits you best.

We assist you in Spanish

We work in writing and assist you in Spanish, as well as English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented, no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Ecuador

The best point depends on where your final destination in Ecuador is and the type of service. Guayaquil concentrates the big trade; Posorja is gaining weight with its deep water. We pick what connects best.

Guayaquil (Contecon)

Ecuador's main port and the one with the most container movement, the historic gateway for Asian cargo and a direct connection to the great Guayaquil market and the highlands.

Posorja (DP World)

The new deep-water port southwest of Guayaquil, operated by DP World, able to receive the largest ships with direct services. Ideal for large volumes.

Puerto Bolívar

A southern port (Machala), important for the El Oro region and agri-export trade, with growing container activity.

Esmeraldas

A northern port, useful for that region and as an alternative depending on the route and cargo type.

We also operate with other Ecuadorian points: Guayaquil (airport GYE) · Quito (airport UIO) · Posorja

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 30–40 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Guayaquil or Posorja. Direct services via Posorja can speed up the transit.

Air · 6–10 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Guayaquil (GYE) or Quito (UIO). Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including import duties and VAT, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Ecuador

We take care of clearance. Ecuadorian customs is run by SENAE, and the country has a Free Trade Agreement with China in force since 2024 that progressively removes the duty on the vast majority of cargo if it travels with the right certificate of origin. On imports you pay 15% VAT, calculated on the customs value plus duty, plus minor fees such as FODINFA. We make sure to leverage the FTA, classify the goods correctly and coordinate clearance at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork, including the certificate of origin for the FTA.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea, via Guayaquil or Posorja, or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Ecuador: duty (reduced with the FTA), VAT and SENAE formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
