Shipping from China to Peru

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. Peru is living a unique moment with the new Chancay megaport and its free-trade agreement with China: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Peru that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

We leverage Chancay and the FTA

We know the new Chancay megaport and the China-Peru free-trade agreement: we pick the route and certificate of origin that suit you best to save time and pay less duty.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

No language barrier

We work in writing and assist you in Spanish, as well as English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Peru

The best port depends on where your final destination in Peru is and the type of service. We pick the one that connects best to cut cost and time.

Callao

Peru's main port, next to Lima, and the great historic gateway for Asian cargo. It handles most of the country's container traffic, with a direct connection to the capital and the interior.

Chancay

The new deep-water megaport north of Lima, operated by a Chinese carrier and inaugurated in 2024. Designed as Asia's gateway to South America, it enables shorter, more direct transits from China. A real asset we assess case by case.

Paita

A northern port, useful for the Piura region and northern Peru, with good container activity.

Matarani / Ilo

Southern ports, useful for Arequipa, mining and the connection with the southern Andes.

We also operate with other Peruvian points: Lima (airport LIM) · Callao · Lima logistics zone · Arequipa

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 28–40 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Callao or Chancay. Direct services via Chancay can cut the transit; we tell you when it's worth it.

Air · 7–10 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Lima (LIM). Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including import duties and VAT, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Peru

We take care of clearance. In Peru, customs is run by SUNAT, and the country has a Free Trade Agreement with China that reduces or removes the duty on much cargo if it travels with the right certificate of origin. On imports you pay the IGV (general sales tax) of 18% —which includes the municipal promotion tax—, calculated on the customs value plus duty. Depending on the regime and the importer, an IGV advance perception may also apply. To import you should have a RUC and, usually, a customs agency. We make sure to leverage the FTA and coordinate clearance at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork, including the certificate of origin for the FTA.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea, via Callao or Chancay, or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Peru: duty (reduced with the FTA), IGV and SUNAT formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
