Shipping from China to the United Arab Emirates

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. The UAE, led by Jebel Ali, is the great gateway of China–Gulf trade: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in the UAE that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We know the China–Gulf route

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out, and the role of Jebel Ali as a transhipment hub. We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and destination.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping and Gulf trade, and in Spanish when you need it. No language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in the UAE

The best port depends on where your final destination in the UAE is. We pick the one that connects best to cut inland transport cost and time.

Jebel Ali (Dubai)

The largest port in the Middle East and the great transhipment hub of the whole region. It connects to hundreds of ports worldwide and redistributes cargo across the Gulf. Its huge free zone (JAFZA) makes it ideal for storing and re-exporting. The UAE's great gateway for trade with China.

Khalifa (Abu Dhabi)

A modern, semi-automated port, growing fast, with its own economic zone (KEZAD). A good entry for Abu Dhabi and the emirate's industry.

Port Rashid / Sharjah

Complementary ports for specific flows and for the emirate of Sharjah, well connected to the Dubai metropolitan area.

Fujairah

On the east coast, outside the Strait of Hormuz, important for liquid bulk and as a bunkering point. Useful for certain routes.

We also operate with other UAE points: Dubai (airports DXB · DWC) · Abu Dhabi (AUH) · JAFZA and KEZAD free zones

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 18–25 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Jebel Ali or Khalifa, with direct, frequent services from the major Chinese ports.

Air · 4–6 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Dubai (DXB/DWC), one of the world's largest cargo airports. Fast and tracked in real time.

Free zones and re-export

If your goods are to be stored or re-exported, the Jebel Ali free zone (JAFZA) lets you operate without paying duty until they enter the local market. We advise you on when it's worth it.

Customs and taxes when importing into the UAE

We take care of clearance. The UAE is part of the Gulf customs union (GCC), with a common 5% tariff on most goods (some products are exempt and others, like tobacco and alcohol, carry very high rates). On import, 5% VAT also applies, one of the lowest in the world. A distinctive UAE feature is its free zones (such as JAFZA in Jebel Ali): goods stored there pay no duty until they enter the local market, which makes them ideal for re-export to the rest of the Gulf, Africa or Asia. We help with classification and coordinate clearance with a local customs agent, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in the UAE: 5% duty, VAT and formalities (or entry into a free zone).
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
