Shipping from China to Indonesia

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Indonesia is Southeast Asia's largest market and has a demanding customs regime worth preparing well: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Indonesia that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

We handle SNI standards and licences

Indonesia requires an importer licence (API) and, for many products, compliance with the SNI standard and specific permits (LARTAS). We factor it in from origin so your cargo isn't held.

We leverage the ASEAN-China FTA

With the Form E certificate of origin, much Chinese cargo enters Indonesia at reduced or zero duty. We make sure your shipment carries it.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping, and in Spanish when you need it. No language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Indonesia

Indonesia is a huge archipelago: the best port depends on which island and region your destination is on. We pick the one that connects best to cut cost and time.

Tanjung Priok (Jakarta)

Indonesia's largest port, in Jakarta (island of Java), and the country's great gateway. It concentrates much of the national container traffic, with direct services from China. The entry par excellence.

Tanjung Perak (Surabaya)

The great East Java port, the country's second gateway. Ideal for East Java and redistribution to the eastern islands.

Belawan (Medan)

The main port of northern Sumatra, the gateway for that region and the west of the country.

Makassar

A major eastern-islands port (Sulawesi), a redistribution hub towards eastern Indonesia.

We also operate with other Indonesian points: Jakarta (airport CGK) · Surabaya (SUB) · Semarang · Batam

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 5–12 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Tanjung Priok or Tanjung Perak, with frequent services from China.

Air · 3–5 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Jakarta (CGK) or Surabaya (SUB). Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including duty, VAT and permits, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Indonesia

We take care of clearance. Indonesia is part of ASEAN and the FTA with China (ACFTA): with the Form E certificate of origin, much Chinese cargo enters at reduced or zero duty. That said, its customs is among the most demanding in the region: the importer needs a licence (API), many products must meet the national SNI standard and stay off (or be permitted on) the restricted-goods list (LARTAS). On import, duty and VAT (PPN) at 11% are settled, plus possible tax prepayments. That's why we prepare the documentation and conformity from origin and coordinate clearance with a local agent, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and prepare paperwork, Form E and SNI conformity.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Indonesia: duty (reduced with Form E), 11% VAT and permits.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, on whichever island and region you need.
