Shipping from China to Italy

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. We handle your shipment from China to Italy end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with a close, personal service in Spanish when you need it, and the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Italy that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We know the ground

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, port and carrier to Italy.

We assist you in Italian

We work in writing and can reply in two languages at once: Italian, your own, and English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented for both sides — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Italy

The best port depends on where your final destination in Italy is. We pick the one that connects best to cut inland transport cost and time.

Genoa

Italy's largest port and the main entry for Asian cargo towards the industrial north (Milan, Turin, Lombardy). Thanks to its Mediterranean position, it often offers shorter transit times from China than the northern European ports.

La Spezia

One of Italy's main container ports, very strong in traffic with Asia. Excellent rail connections towards northern Italy and central Europe. A great alternative to Genoa.

Gioia Tauro

At the southern tip of Italy (Calabria), it's one of the largest transshipment hubs in the Mediterranean. Ideal for cargo reshipping to other destinations and for direct services from the Far East.

Trieste

On the Adriatic, it's Italy's natural gateway towards central Europe (Austria, Hungary, southern Germany). A free port with strong rail connections, very competitive for northeastern destinations.

We also operate with other Italian ports: Naples · Livorno · Venice · Salerno · Ancona · Ravenna · Cagliari

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 28–38 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Genoa, La Spezia or Trieste.

Air · 5–7 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Milan-Malpensa (MXP) and other airports. Fast and tracked in real time.

Rail · 18–25 days

The China–Europe train, with terminals in northern Italy. The balance between price and speed for inland shipments.

Customs and taxes when importing into Italy

We take care of clearance. Italy is part of the EU customs union: to import you need an EORI number and an import declaration is filed. Customs duty (based on the product's TARIC code, common across the EU) and import VAT (IVA), at 22% standard with reduced rates for some products, are settled. We help with tariff classification and coordinate clearance with a customs agent at destination, so your cargo clears without surprises.

How the EU's common customs works

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea, air or rail) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Italy: duty, VAT and formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in Italy.
