Shipping from China to Qatar

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. Qatar, with the modern Hamad Port, imports practically everything from China: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Qatar that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We know the China–Gulf route

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and service to Hamad.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping, and in Spanish when you need it. No language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Qatar

Qatar concentrates its sea trade at Hamad Port, its great modern gateway. We pick the service that connects best to cut cost and time.

Hamad Port

Qatar's main port and one of the most modern in the region, south of Doha. It connects to more than 150 ports worldwide and was key to diversifying the country's trade. The great gateway for cargo from China.

Doha (old port)

The capital's old port, now refocused on passenger and light cargo traffic. Hamad concentrates the bulk of container traffic.

Via Jebel Ali (transhipment)

For some services, cargo is transhipped at Jebel Ali (UAE) and links on to Qatar. One more option depending on route and frequency.

Mesaieed / Ras Laffan

Southern industrial ports, specialised in energy and heavy industry. Useful for specific project cargo.

We also operate with other Qatari points: Doha (airport DOH · Hamad International) · Hamad Port · Umm Alhoul free zone

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 20–28 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Hamad Port, with direct services or via transhipment at Jebel Ali.

Air · 5–7 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Doha (DOH), a major air cargo hub. Fast and tracked in real time.

Door to door (DDP)

We handle everything, including import duties and taxes, and deliver to your address. You just receive the goods.

Customs and taxes when importing into Qatar

We take care of clearance. Qatar is part of the Gulf customs union (GCC), with a common 5% tariff on most goods (with very high rates for products like tobacco). Unlike some of its neighbours, Qatar does not yet apply VAT on imports as of today, although it is planned within the common Gulf framework; we keep you informed of the regime in force at the time of your shipment. To import you should have a registered importer in the country. We help with classification and coordinate clearance with a local customs agent, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Qatar: 5% duty and local formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
