Shipping from China to Canada

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. The Canadian Pacific coast is among the fastest entries from Asia: we handle your shipment from China to Canada end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Canada that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

Mastery of the transpacific route

We know Chinese carriers, airlines, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and destination coast in Canada.

We assist you in English

We work in writing and keep everything documented in English, the common standard in international shipping, and in Spanish when you need it. Every detail stays clear for both sides — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Canada

The best port depends on where your final destination in Canada is. The West Coast is fastest from Asia; the East Coast suits the east of the country. We pick the one that connects best to cut cost and time.

Vancouver

Canada's largest port and the great Pacific gateway for Asian cargo. Excellent rail connections into the interior and the east of the country. The natural entry for western Canada.

Prince Rupert

The closest port to Asia in all of North America: it offers some of the shortest transits from China and a direct rail link into the centre of the continent. Very efficient for cargo heading inland.

Montreal

The great eastern Canadian gateway, on the St. Lawrence River, via the Atlantic. Ideal for Quebec, Ontario and the Northeast, with strong intermodal connections.

Halifax

A deep-water Atlantic port able to receive the largest container ships. A good entry for the Maritime provinces and the east.

We also operate with other Canadian points: Toronto (intermodal · airport YYZ) · Vancouver (YVR) · Calgary · Winnipeg

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · West Coast 14–20 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Vancouver or Prince Rupert. The East Coast (Montreal, Halifax) adds days via the Atlantic.

Air · 6–9 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Toronto (YYZ) or Vancouver (YVR). Fast and tracked in real time.

Inland intermodal

For landlocked destinations (Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg…), we link the ship with the Canadian domestic rail network from the Pacific port. One of the country's great logistics advantages.

Customs and taxes when importing into Canada

We take care of clearance. In Canada, customs is the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency): to import you need a Business Number with an import account and an import declaration is filed. Customs duty is settled under the product's classification along with the 5% GST (federal Goods and Services Tax), calculated on the value of the goods plus freight, insurance and duty. Depending on the destination province there may be additional provincial taxes on the later sale, but at import the federal tax is the GST. We help with tariff classification and coordinate clearance with a customs agent at destination, so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. Transpacific transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Canada: duty, GST and formalities with the CBSA.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
