Shipping from China to Mexico

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. The transpacific route to Mexico is our daily business: we handle your shipment end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with a close, personal service in Spanish and the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in Mexico that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

Mastery of the transpacific route

We know Chinese carriers, airlines, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, Chinese port and destination port in Mexico.

Close service in Spanish

We work in writing and assist you in Spanish, as well as English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in Mexico

The best port depends on where your final destination in Mexico is. The Pacific is the natural entry from Asia; the Gulf suits the east. We pick the one that connects best to cut cost and time.

Manzanillo

Mexico's largest port and the great Pacific gateway for Asian cargo. It handles most of the country's container traffic, with good rail and road connections to the centre and the Bajío. The entry par excellence from China.

Lázaro Cárdenas

A large deep-water Pacific port able to receive the biggest ships. Strong in container, bulk and automotive, with a direct rail link inland. A good alternative to Manzanillo.

Veracruz

The main Gulf of Mexico gateway, via the Atlantic. Ideal for the centre-east and southeast of the country, with large capacity and inland connections.

Ensenada

A northwestern port in Baja California, useful for the northern border and the US border region.

We also operate with other Mexican points: Mexico City (airport MEX/AIFA) · Guadalajara (GDL) · Monterrey (MTY) · Altamira

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 20–28 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, to Manzanillo or Lázaro Cárdenas. Worth bearing in mind possible congestion at Manzanillo; we plan accordingly.

Air · 6–9 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Mexico City (MEX/AIFA) or Guadalajara (GDL). Fast and tracked in real time.

Inland intermodal

For inland destinations (Bajío, Mexico City, Monterrey…), we link the ship with the Mexican rail network from the Pacific port, optimising the final leg.

Customs and taxes when importing into Mexico

We take care of clearance. In Mexico, imports go through the SAT and Customs (Aduana), with its own requirements: you must be registered in the Importers' Registry (Padrón de Importadores), clearance is formalised with a pedimento and it is mandatory to work with a licensed customs broker (agente aduanal). Customs duty is settled under the tariff code (usually between 0% and 15%) along with 16% import VAT, calculated on the customs value plus duty and other add-ons. Mexican customs is very demanding with paperwork: an error in the invoice or classification can hold up clearance, which is why we prepare it carefully from origin. We coordinate everything with the customs broker so your cargo enters without surprises.

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. Transpacific transport (sea or air) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in Mexico: pedimento, duty, VAT and customs broker.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
