Shipping from China to the Netherlands

We're a Chinese freight forwarder operating from the origin, where your goods are made and loaded. Importing directly from China brings barriers —the language, the distance, who to turn to— and our job is to make them a non-issue. We handle your shipment from China to the Netherlands end to end —transport, documentation and customs—, with a close, personal service in Spanish when you need it, and the prices you only get by working from the origin itself.

Why work with a forwarder at origin

Better price, no middlemen

You work with the people at the port of departure in China, not a middleman in the Netherlands that subcontracts. Fewer links, better price.

Control from the factory

We're where your goods are made and loaded: we coordinate pickup, consolidation and shipping from the very first metre.

We know the ground

We know Chinese carriers, ports and export formalities inside out. We pick the best combination of factory, port and carrier to the Netherlands.

We assist you in Dutch

We work in writing and can reply in two languages at once: Dutch, your own, and English, the common standard in international shipping. Every detail stays clear and documented for both sides — no language barrier with the origin.

Entry ports in the Netherlands

The best port depends on your final destination and your distribution strategy. Thanks to their position, the Netherlands are Europe's great gateway.

Rotterdam

Europe's largest port and the continent's main gateway for Asian cargo. Unbeatable barge, rail and road connections towards Germany, Belgium and all of western Europe. The default option for importing from China to Europe.

Amsterdam

The country's second port, complementary to Rotterdam and well connected with the north of the Netherlands. A good option for certain traffics and for destinations in the Amsterdam area.

Vlissingen

In the province of Zeeland (part of North Sea Port, next to Terneuzen), focused on project and industrial cargo. A useful alternative for the southwest of the Netherlands and the Belgian border.

Moerdijk

An inland port between Rotterdam and Antwerp, closely tied to industry and logistics. A good distribution point by barge and road for the Rotterdam–Belgium corridor.

We also operate with other Dutch ports: Eemshaven · Terneuzen · Dordrecht · Delfzijl · Den Helder

Transit times and transport modes

Sea · 28–35 days

The most cost-effective option. FCL (full container) or LCL (groupage) depending on your volume, mainly to Rotterdam.

Air · 5–7 days

For urgent or high-value cargo, via Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS), one of Europe's largest cargo airports. Fast and tracked in real time.

Rail · 18–25 days

The China–Europe train, with Rotterdam and Tilburg as destination terminals. The balance between price and speed for inland shipments.

Customs and taxes when importing into the Netherlands

We take care of clearance. The Netherlands are part of the EU customs union: to import you need an EORI number and an import declaration is filed. Customs duty (based on the TARIC code, common across the EU) and import VAT (BTW), at 21% standard, are settled. A distinctive advantage of the country: with the Article 23 licence, import VAT isn't paid at customs but deferred to the periodic return, greatly improving importers' cash flow. We help with tariff classification and coordinate clearance with a customs agent at destination.

How the EU's common customs works

How it works, step by step

  1. We collect at the factory in China and review the paperwork.
  2. Export clearance at origin and loading via the best Chinese port.
  3. International transport (sea, air or rail) with tracking.
  4. Import clearance in the Netherlands: duty, VAT and formalities.
  5. Final delivery to your warehouse or address, anywhere in the country.
